Women University of AJ&K Bagh
has been Started in 2014 under Women University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir
Bagh Act (VII) of 2014 to provide prospects of quality higher education and
research activities for women in the region. This is the only female university
of the state.There are 14 departments, It currently has Faculty of Science and
Technology and Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. On Jun 2020 Professor
(Meritorious) Dr. Abdul Hamid presumed the charge of university as 2nd
tenured Vice Chancellor.
There are more than 5000 students
have been enrolled in 36 different degree programs at under graduate, MPHIL and
PHD levels. The university added a variety of upto date books of international
authors , a Conference rom, A big seminar Hall, update labs for sciences and
Computers Science Students. Government of Azad jammu and kashmir has allocated
2025 kanal of land at Bagh for construction of the university,
